The
word "Gospel" means "Good News." It is the good news of
how you can have a loving, personal relationship with God that
gives meaning and purpose to this life, and also, at the same
time, gives you the certainty that you will spend eternity
with Him in heaven!
Many people today claim that they are preaching the
Gospel, yet they all seem to have different
messages:
Say a Sinner's
Prayer. Invite Jesus into your
heart!
Pray to receive
Christ |
Come forward and confess Christ in
public!
Obey the golden rule!
Repent and be
baptized |
Trust in the
Lord! |
Turn your life over to
Jesus! |
Pray to receive
Christ | Turn from your sins to God!
Put Jesus on the throne of your
life |
Give your heart to God!
Deny yourself, take up your cross and follow
Christ! |
Why do we hear so many different messages today?
Is there more than one gospel? What really is "The
Gospel" according to the Bible?
Before we begin, would you answer
three helpful questions?
1. What have you been told the gospel
is?
2. If you died tonight and stood before God, and
He asked: "Why should I let you into My heaven?" what would
you say?
3. If you died right now, do you know with
absolute certainty that you would go to
heaven?
Yes! I am absolutely certain that I would go
to heaven.
No. I do
not know with "absolute certainty" that I would go to
heaven.
